General Description



MET Station all in one sensor measuring air temperature (-52-60°C), barometric pressure (600-1100 hPa), relative humidity (0-100%), wind speed (0-75m/s), wind direction (0-360°), and precipitation accumulation (0-200mm/h) and type with the ability to distinguish between rain and hail. Wind vectors are measured relative to the ship and direction conventions are 0˚ for wind from the bow, 90˚ for wind from the starboard side, 180˚ for wind from the stern, and 270˚ for wind from the port side.

Description A resistive thin-film Pt100 sensor measuring air temperature ranging from -52 to 60° C. A capacitive silicon BAROCAP® sensor measuring barometric pressure ranging from 500 to 1100 hPa. A capacitive thin-film polymer HUMICAP® R2 sensor measuring relative humidity ranging from 0 to 100%. The average wind direction represents the average value corresponding to the designated averaging time of 1 second at a sample rate of 4 Hz. If wind speed is <0.05 m/s the wind direction will not be calculated and instead the last calculated direction will be reported. The relative wind direction is the direction relative to the bow of the ship from which the wind is blowing with the relative wind speed. Direction conventions are 0˚ for wind from the bow, 90˚ for wind from the starboard side, 180˚ for wind from the stern, and 270˚ for wind from the port side. The computation of wind speed average utilizing the 3-second gust and calm calculation recommended by the WMO.
